About Lyn
It’s been said that one’s vocation is their calling or mission in life. This is certainly true of Lyn’s passion for skin care and the beauty industry. Descending from a family of primary health care professionals, Lyn was intially intent on pursuing a career in medicine; however, her on-going problem with acne would lead to a career in aesthetics.
 
A true entrepreneur, Lyn started her first skin care clinic in 1975 specializing in problem skin and natural cosmetics. The intimate experience of nurturing another and dispensing advice on makeup and skin care came naturally to Lyn, and her client list grew to include the Who’s Who of Atlanta Society, including her friend and client, Jane Fonda.
 
Believing that clean, clear skin is important for health and wellbeing she built her clinical skin care practice into one of the first medical spas in the country making Lyn a true pioneer in this growing spa market segment. Lyn’s devotion and commitment to helping her clients with their skin care concerns created a need to develop a physician referral network.

Working with Atlanta’s top cosmetic dermatologist’s and plastic surgeons opened up another opportunity for growth and learning. After 13 years of providing pre and post operative elective and reconstructive surgery patient support, Lyn developed the first Medical Esthetics Certification program in the country teaching estheticians, nurses and physicians the specialized skin care and makeup techniques she used to help patients recover after surgery.
 
With a strong desire to help others, Lyn created a comprehensive results-oriented product line based on natural ingredients infused with non-prescription cosmetic medicines designed to correct problematic skin conditions. To compliment the skin care at home system Lyn successfully developed some of the most unique multi-layer treatment protocols in the professional skin care industry and credits these high performance therapies for what is known by her clients as the DERMed glow!
 
Lyn's commitment to innovation and education on skin medicines which promise skin perfecting results is her vision and the company's mission. Her greatest joy is hearing the stories about how the Institut' DERMed products and treatments have changed the lives of her devoted clients.
 
As spas go medical to meet the needs of our aging population, (for the next 20 years 12,000 Americans will be turning 50 every 8 seconds) Lyn’s vision for skin rejuvenation is “Mission Accomplished”!!!
